Update October 7, 2009 The Chamber and RMOW co-hosted an information session on Masterplan and Temporary User Permits (TUPs) in the Whistler Village. Update July 8, 2009 Olympic/Paralympic Liquor License Application Process and Fees
Certain organizations and agencies directly associated with the Games may apply for an Olympic/Paralympic liquor license. These are: - VANOC and its food and beverage contractors
- International Olympic committee and International Paralympic Committee
- Official Games sponsors
- Federal, provincial, territorial governments of Canada, including Crown corporations
- Local governments with a direct connection to the Games; e.g. Whistler, London, Sochi
- National, state or provincial government of an official participant country
- International Sports Federations, National Olympic and Paralympic Committees
An eligible organization (or their agent) applies to the provincial Liquor Control and Licensing Branch. Click here for more information and forms. Once the LCLB had determined the eligibility and suitability of the applicant the application will be referred to the RMOW for comment, either from Council or from staff. The usual municipal application form (or a slight variation) will be used. As approved by Council, a municipal processing fee will apply.
