Tips from Tourism Whistler on maximizing commercial space opportunities include:

• Develop a business plan now and decide on an operational model for 2010 as soon as possible;
• Fair and competitive pricing is key to individual success as well as Whistler’s long term success;
• Know your pricing model before entering negotiations with potential renters;
• Groups will be comparing Whistler against other possible locations within the Sea to Sky corridor, Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland when negotiating for commercial space during Games time; and
• Municipal laws/bylaws regarding liquor licensing and signage will apply.
