2010 September 22 Luncheon |
|
Join the Whistler Chamber for the 7th Annual Business and the Arts Award Luncheon Co-hosted and sponsored by the Whistler Arts Council Cultural tourism is a fast-growing and lucrative segment of North America’s tourism industry. In June of this year, the Resort Municipality contracted Steven Thorne Consulting to develop a cultural tourism plan for Whistler. On September 22, Steven Thorne will offer Whistler’s business community a preview of his forthcoming report. Come and hear Steven’s thoughts on how Whistler can capitalize on its arts, heritage and culinary assets, develop a cultural tourism industry, and build a cultural tourism economy. Following this, the Whistler Arts Council will present the 7th Annual Business and the Arts Award. The award recognizes and honours a local business or individual business leader for significant impact on/or contribution to Whistler’s arts and culture community.
