My name is Danielle Kristmanson, I am the founding partner and Creative Director at Origin Design + Communications, a Whistler- and Montreal-based marketing, creative and communications firm specializing in mountain sports and tourism. Origin is the advertising agency of record for Tourism Whistler and Whistler Blackcomb as well as many other North American action sport and tourism brands.

I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Communications and Marketing from Simon Fraser University, and moved to Whistler to take a creative services supervisor position with Tourism Whistler in 1991. In 1994 I started Origin, and have spent the last 15 years growing that business. In my spare time I am an active member of the BCAMA, I sit on the Marketing Committee of the Outdoor Industries Women's Coalition, I volunteer in my children's classrooms at Myrtle Philip Community School, and am involved in community sport. I'm an avid snowboarder, mountain biker and advocate of the Whistler lifestyle. My work with Whistler Blackcomb, Tourism Whistler and the RMOW provides me with unique insight and a solid understanding of marketing Whistler to the world. I look forward to bringing this expertise to the 2010 Board of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce.
