I arrived in Whistler 5 years ago having finished my business degree.  Like many others I came for the mountains and lifestyle, knowing instantly this would be my home.  Over the years I have worked in the ski industry as an instructor, a server in the restaurant industry and my currently role as the Marketing and Events Coordinator at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. During my time at the SLCC I have taken an active role in the business community through meetings and committees such as the Whistler 2020 guest services task force and have driven significant opportunities to both the SLCC, local businesses and economy.  My success came from supporting and developing business opportunities based on the ideal that the possibility of building a strong business or economy is only sustainable through a commitment to the people, community and cultures involved. As a board member, I will bring creative and functional ideas that will drive profits to the Whistler businesses while maintaining the integrity of the culture and community the businesses depend on.
