Rod Nadeau

Rod moved to Whistler from Montreal in 1977 after graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University. After a few seasons of skiing and working as a construction foreman for BC Rail he started a construction company. He was responsible for building many custom homes throughout Whistler as well as some of Whistler’s early commercial buildings and employee housing.
Rod continued his education by attending seminars and courses in building science, energy efficient design, mountain design, snow management and engineering. Rod began applying his personal philosophy of environmental stewardship to his building projects. He built an R-2000 compliant home 20 years before the building industry in North American started taking “Green building” seriously. This sustainable building philosophy and pioneering spirit led Rod to undertake a number of innovative environmentally conscious projects.
Because of his extensive knowledge and experience, Rod became a member of the RMOW’s Advisory Design Panel and Whistler 2020 Task Forces. Rod is the Founding President of the Sea to Sky Chapter of the Canadian Homebuilders Association.
After more than 30 years of living in Whistler, Rod has developed significant ties to the community.
