. 2. Can I get my pass before I attend the course?
Yes. Once you sign up online, you will see a confirmation page that gives you your "Mountain Money Number". Bring this number with you to Guest Relations at Whistler Blackcomb to pay for and pick up your pass. Remember, if your boss is paying for your pass, you will receive an email letting you know when your pass is ready for pick-up (or log back into your account for updates). Allow 48 hours from the time you receive your mountain money number so the payment can be processed. 3. Can I register for the Spirit Program before finding a job?
NEW THIS YEAR! Yes, you can! Register online, and instead of selecting who your employer is, select the option that says "I do not yet have an employer". From there, you will be able to select a workshop date. Workshops are only being offered until the end of December 2009, so it's best to get your workshop completed as soon as possible so that you don't miss out. Once you have found a job, log back into your profile and select which company you work for. Once your employer approves you, you will be emailed your Mountain Money Number and be able to pick up your pass. You will not be able to purchase your Spirit Pass before securing employment. 4. If I am unable to secure employment until the new year, but would still like to access the mountain, what should I do?
Make sure you complete the Spirit Program before the end of 2009 by registering online and attending your workshop. In the meantime, you can purchase a full price, regular Whistler Blackcomb season pass, and then be reimbursed the difference of the full price down to a Spirit Pass, once you have secured employment. If you wait too long and don't attend a workshop in the time frame they are being offered, the Spirit Pass rate will no longer be available to you. Please note that there may be a 4 week waiting period for Whistler Blackcomb to process your refund. 5. What happens if I miss my Spirit Workshop?
Don't miss your Spirit Workshop! But if you do, your pass will become hotlisted and you won't be able to use it. You will receive email notification of the hotlist and be prompted to login and sign up for another workshop. It may take up to 48 hours before your pass is active again. To avoid missing your workshop mark your calendar and let your employer know about your workshop date. 6. What does "hotlisted" mean?
Hotlisted means that your pass is temporarily inactivated. This can happen if you miss your workshop or lose your job.
7. What happens if I miss my workshop twice?
If you miss your workshop for a second time, your pass will be hotlisted immediately and will remain hotlisted until you attend the course. There is a $20 admin fee to reschedule and reactivate your pass. The fee must be paid in person at the Whister Chamber of Commerce, located in the Gateway Taxi Loop, just above the Visitor Info Centre. If you fail to attend a workshop by the end of the Program, you will have to look into other pass options with Whistler Blackcomb Pass Administration at 604.938.7055 8. I had a pass last year.
