Spirit Program Details

The Spirit Program is a program designed to ensure Whistler business owners and their employees understand the Whistler Service Philosophy and are committed to delivering EXCEPTIONAL customer service.

Participants of the Program attend a qualifying event that provides essential resort-specific and customer service information. Those who take part in the Program are eligible not only for a discounted Whistler Blackcomb season pass, known as a Spirit Pass, but also discounted access to a range of world-class summer activities like golf, spa visits and adventure tours.

The Program is open to any business that is a member in good standing with the Whistler Chamber of Commerce.  To qualify, employees must work in Whistler or Pemberton for a minimum of 20 hours/week.

Spirit Program Benefits

Spirit Admin Fee
The Whistler Chamber of Commerce administers the Spirit Program, in partnership with Whistler Blackcomb and the Resort Municipality of Whistler, on behalf of the Whistler business community. As a result, a one-time annual Spirit admin fee of $30 is charged to participants in the program. This fee provides access to all Spirit Program benefits.

Please note: Historically, a $25 Spirit Admin Fee has been collected by Whistler Blackcomb and forwarded to the Chamber when a Program participant collected their pass at Whistler Blackcomb Guest Relations. This year, Spirit Program participants will pay a $30 Spirit Admin Fee directly to the Chamber when they register for the Program online. The change in amount of Fee and the collection process is to accommodate the expansion of the Spirit Program into the Summer Season.

Rescheduling Fee

All Spirit participants who register for an in-person Spirit event must attend their session to qualify for the Spirit Program.

If Spirit participants know prior to their qualifying event that they cannot attend their scheduled session, they have one opportunity to reschedule up to 24 hours prior to the originally scheduled session date. They can do this through their Spirit Account. If they need to reschedule a second time, they must pay the $30 rescheduling fee.

If a Spirit participant misses their qualifying event, their pass will be hotlisted, and they will no longer have access to the mountains. They will need to contact the Chamber and pay the $30 rescheduling fee. It may take up to 48 hours before the Spirit Pass is active again.

Note: Missing a qualifying event for Spirit due to work will not excuse participants from paying the $30 rescheduling fee.

Spirit Responsibility Code
Participants of the Spirit Program are expected to abide by the Spirit Responsibility Code:

“I understand that my participation in the Spirit Program has been made possible by my employer. I will treat the qualifying event for Spirit in the same manner that I treat my work, and I will not attend a session under the influence of alcohol or drugs. I am aware that if I disturb a session by displaying unacceptable behaviour, my employer will be informed. The Whistler Chamber of Commerce also reserves the right to hotlist my pass, which would prevent me from having access to the mountain."
