The Bank of Canada, RCMP and the Whistler Chamber of Commerce are inviting you to attend a FREE, one-hour workshop on counterfeit detection and credit card fraud.

The workshop will include quick, reliable and easy to use techniques in checking the security features in our bank notes. The workshop will also include a discussion on the impact of counterfeiting, tips and techniques on how not to become a victim of counterfeiting as well as an interactive ‘hands-on exercise’.

Representatives from the Bank of Canada will facilitate the presentation and answer questions from the participants. Using sample notes, participants will be able to see just how easy it is to check and ensure that the bank notes they receive are genuine. Currency education materials will be provided.

Representatives from the RCMP will also present on credit card and debit fraud and what your business can do to help prevent it.

This workshop is open to all audiences and may be of particular interest for retailers who handle cash on a regular basis.
