Strategic Planning

Whistler’s business community asked for direction on strategic planning and we’ve delivered! Designed to be experiential and easily applied back in the workplace, these tangible techniques will walk you through creating, and most importantly, implementing an achievable plan. Topics will cover:
- The relevance of strategic planning to their particular businesses
- A process they can use to conduct planning sessions
- A model to analyze situations in their own businesses
- The importance of monitoring and evaluation
Participants will be given an opportunity to begin a planning process and be introduced to models that will aid in their Strategic Planning such as the ‘6 P’s of Planning, Appreciate Inquiry and the SWOT Analysis.
Facilitator: Kate Boddington
Having been an active resident, employee, manager and educator in the Sea to Sky Corridor for fourteen years, Kate Boddington has a solid understanding of the challenges faced in Whistler’s business community. Along with a Bachelor of Education and four years teaching experience at varying levels, she has fulfilled the role of Program Coordinator for the Whistler Spirit Program, as well as facilitated Spirit Workshops for the Whistler Chamber of Commerce for the last two years.
