Every year, Canadian employers hire thousands of foreign workers to help address skills shortages. There are a number of different ways that allow for a foreign national to work in Canada on a permanent or temporary basis. In most cases, Citizenship and Immigration Canada requires that employers in Canada obtain a Labour Market Opinion from Service Canada. In conjunction with Citizenship and Immigration, this session will explore the Service Canada-Temporary Foreign Worker Program and the BC Provincial Nominee Program. This session will outline how employers can access these programs and the program requirements to obtain foreign workers. Learn how to get your LMOs preapproved for the 2009/2010 winter season!
