  2. Can I get my pass before I attend the course?
Yes. Once you sign up online, you will see a confirmation page that gives you your "Mountain Money Number". Bring this number with you to Guest Relations at Whistler Blackcomb to pay for and pick up your pass. Remember, if your boss is paying for your pass, allow 48 hours from the time you receive your mountain money number so the payment can be processed. You can head up the mountain immediately after you pick up your pass but make sure you don't miss your scheduled workshop!

  3. What happens if I miss my Spirit Workshop?
Don't miss your Spirit Workshop! But if you do, your pass will become hotlisted and you won't be able to use it.  We don't want that to happen so mark your calendar and let your employer know about your workshop date. You will receive email notification of the hotlist and be prompted to login and sign up for another workshop. It may take up to 48 hours before your pass is active again.

  4. What does "hotlisted" mean?
Hotlisted means that your pass is temporarily inactivated. This can happen if you miss your workshop or lose your job.

  5. What happens if I miss my workshop twice?
If you miss your workshop for a second time, your pass will be hotlisted immediately. There is a $20 admin fee to reschedule and reactivate your pass. This must be paid in person at the Whister Chamber of Commerce, located in the Gateway Taxi Loop, just above the Visitor Info Centre.

  6. Where do I pick up my pass?
Passes can be picked up at Whistler Blackcomb Guest Relations located at the base of Whistler Mountain. Don't forget to bring your Mountain Money Number with you! If your employer is paying for your pass, you must wait 48 hours from the time you sign up for your workshop before picking it up.

Don't feel like waiting in line? Call 1.800.766.0449 with your Mountain Money number in hand, and renew your pass with your credit card over the phone.

  7. What’s a Mountain Money Number?
A Mountain Money Number is a 10 digit confirmation number that will be assigned to you once you have completed your registration into the Spirit Program. You must bring this number with you to WB Guest Relations in order to pick up your pass.

  8. Do I have to pay for my pass up front?
Yes, all WB passes must be paid in full before they can be picked up.

  9. I will not be able to attend my workshop. What should I do?
You will need to contact the Whistler Chamber immediately to avoid having your pass hotlisted. Phone us at 604.932.5922 ext. 32 or email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . Please note that the office is closed Saturday/Sunday. Messages left over the weekend  will not be checked until Monday.

  10. I forgot my workshop date & time. What should I do?
You can login to your Spirit account to look up your workshop date.

  11. When does the Spirit Program end?
Workshops will only be held in November, December and January. Your best bet is to attend the first one available so you’re sure to complete the program in time and enjoy the rest of the season!

  12. What is the Alpine Responsibility Code?
Click here to view the Alpine Responsibility Code
  13. What happens if I disobey the Alpine Responsibility Code?
The Whistler Blackcomb Operations Department is taking strong measures against Spirit pass holders who break the rules.  If the Safety Department deems it necessary, a fine of $300.00 plus tax will be charged, a suspension of the pass (time limit depending on the infraction) and compulsory safety course will have to be taken.  This will be administered by the Whistler Blackcomb Safety Department

  14. I lost my job. Can I keep my Spirit Pass?
No. If you are terminated or leave your job, your pass will be hotlisted until you find a new employer who is also a part of the Spirit Program.

  15. If I bought an Early Bird pass but want to join the Spirit Program, can I be refunded the difference?
Yes. Register for the Spirit Program online, and then bring your Mountain Money Number with you to guest Relations to get your refund taken care of.

  16. Can I exchange my Spirit Pass for  mid-week pass?
Please call Whistler Blackcomb Pass Administration at 1-800-766-0449.

  17. Where do I pay the $25 administration fee for the program?
The $25 fee is automatically added on to the price of your pass when you purchase it. There’s no need to pay the fee at the workshop.

  18. I bought a day ticket to go up the mountain because my pass was hotlisted. How do I get a refund?
Refunds will not be issued to Spirit Pass holders who buy a day ticket for any reason.
