 Making my home in Whistler with my partner and two children, we enjoy participating in a wide variety of activities within the community. I have been in the tourism business for 31 years and am currently a partner, owner-operator of 7 businesses in the Whistler community. I believe that a diverse year-round tourism based economy will give our community the best opportunity to succeed in the current and future climates. I am a supporter of a resort business plan to move us toward our 2020 goals in a well-planned and strategic manner. I am a supporter of a private tourism university being built adjacent to the athlete’s village. I am a supporter of the construction of seasonal rental apartment buildings for our seasonal work force.
Over the years I have been involved in numerous community groups and boards including Tourism Whistler, Whistler Arts Council and the 2020 Economic Task Force. If given the opportunity to engage on the Chamber of Commerce board of directors, I will work collectively to enhance the competitive advantage of the Resort Community of Whistler.
