 Caroline Smalley, born in England, is a young independent entrepreneur who came to Whistler in 2001. With a past international career in IT Corporate Sales and Marketing, she now owns and operates two businesses: Whistler Snow Masters Ltd (the largest manual snow removal company in the Valley) and is the Founder and Creative Director of the recently launched successful web site www.thecitizensmedia.com. This site has been developed to present a powerful communications portal for those living in Sea to Sky Country. At launch Caroline concluded; “The Citizens Media is the place to get involved and to be informed. It’s the people’s voice facilitating dialogue between diverse groups that promotes and helps open sharing on the issues most relevant to individual communities”. In addition to this she is an impassioned creative writer and has worked on campaigns ranging from anticrime and the Village Host program, to political races and real estate development. At 33, her youth would bring a valued connection to Whistler’s business leaders of tomorrow.
