The Whistler Chamber is proud to launch a new Mystery Shopping Program this year to help your business measure and improve guest service. Sign-up online Reviewing how you are doing is an extremely important business tool especially if we consider that: 96% of customers will not share their dissatisfaction with you but will tell 10 of their friends who then go on to tell 5 of their friends.
This means that for every complaint you hear, a potential of 1,250 other people heard the same thing about your business.
This year’s pilot program is open to all businesses that are customer facing. Please check out the details below to determine whether this program is right for your business.  | WHAT: - The Mystery Shopper program consists of locals, hired and trained to measure your employees on the Whistler Spirit Service Philosophy – Connect, Assist, Exceed.
- Every week a mystery shopper will enter your establishment for a minimum of 10 minutes. During that time they will ask questions of your employees and will browse your location.
- Mystery shoppers will then fill out the 26 yes/no questions and 6 written answer questions.
- At the end of the month you will receive a link via email that will alert you that your Mystery Shopper Report is ready. You will then be able to view each of the four reports that were filled out on your business and will be able to see your combined score for the reporting period.
- Your individual results will be kept confidential but will be used to compile an overall report and score for the Resort.

WHEN: - The first Mystery Shoppers will hit the streets December 16th, 2007
- The first Reporting period will be only 2 weeks long – but as of January 1st all reporting periods will be 4 weeks in length.
- The first report will be ready for your review no later than January 4th, 2008
- The pilot program will run for 6 months – Mid December to the end of May 2008
COST: - Sign up by December 14th and we will shop your store two times for FREE over the busy Christmas holidays between December 20th and 31st!
- A monthly fee of $60 is needed to cover the labour required to collect the information and produce the reports.
- Enrollment for the entire six months of the program is necessary and upfront payment for the 6 months would be appreciated -
$330 + GST (December $30 due to short reporting period).
