The Whistler Chamber encourages you to participate in the The EPIC Program: Economic Performance Indicators for Whistler EPIC has been created as an economic indicator program for Whistler providing information on the ongoing business activity.
The need for this program has been identified for many years. Business owners are given the opportunity to receive an overview of the overall activity in the resort. They are also able to compare changes in their gross revenues to the sector they belong to. The program launched in July 2008. Participating businesses receive a survey link with 6 simple questions:
Compared to the same month last year, did your revenues: 1. Go up or down? 2. By what percentage? Year to date (since January 2008), 3. Did your revenues go up or down? 4. By what percentage?
5. Why? What was different this month? 6.To which sector do you belong? (Food & Beverage, Recreation, Retail or Transportation) Survey results are published in the EPIC report, available online in the Members Only section. The program is confidential. Survey guidelines The survey is short, non-intrusive and produces actionable results. Businesses are only asked for changes in percentage compared to the same month last year. To ensure a broad representation of companies in each sector, the survey is available only to businesses in the following sectors: Food & Beverage, Recreation, Retail and Transportation. Survey results are anonymous: Businesses are only asked to name the sector they belong to. No further identification is required. Individual results are not shared. The survey link is sent by the 10th of every month asking for information on the previous month. The monthly survey is open for 3 days. Survey results will be posted in the Members Only section of www.whistlerchamber.com by the 15th.
We encourage you to participate in this important economic survey.
