Job Board

As a community, its  imperative that we band together to support both residents and businesses to navigate this pandemic. We ask that employers receiving an excess of employment applications re-direct your un-needed applicants to the Whistler Chamber’s Job Board and the go2HR job board.  Employers still needing employees will be able to post their jobs on these sites and interested applicants will be able to make their own choices on where to apply next.

Thank you for your participation and support of Whistler business’ recovery.

Canada Job Bank’s Jobs for Ukraine Webpage

The Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, has announced the launch of the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET). The CUAET is a special, accelerated temporary residence pathway for Ukrainians seeking safe haven in Canada while the war in their home country continues.

Through the CUAET, Ukrainians and their immediate family members of any nationality may stay in Canada as temporary residents for up to 3 years. Applicants who are overseas need to apply online for a Canadian visitor visa, and are encouraged to apply for a 3-year open work permit at the same time as their visa application. This permit will allow them to work in Canada. Under this special program, many of the regular requirements associated with a normal visitor visa or work permit have been waived.

The government of Canada is calling on employers who wish to support Ukrainians with offers of employment to register these offers on Job Bank’s Jobs for Ukraine webpage. Job Bank will then work with local organizations and employers to help connect them with Ukrainians seeking work in their communities.

The Terms of Use for Employers page outlines details regarding eligibility, user registration, registering a business and posting jobs.

Recruiting Employees to Live & Work in Whistler

Tourism Whistler and The Whistler Chamber have created a new series of video assets to help our Members recruit new talent.

Employee recruitment and retention is critical to Whistler’s economic health, and we recognize securing adequate staffing is the biggest challenge for Whistler businesses as we work towards recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The key element of this new resort-wide campaign is a recruiting video featuring inspiring Whistler visuals and genuine remarks from locals about what makes Whistler such a special place to live, work and play. The call-to-action for these new videos and the wider campaign is the Workforce Hub on the Whistler Chamber website.

A series of 15-second short videos are also available on the Tourism Whistler Content Hub, which can be used in social media and digital advertising. These videos have been intentionally produced without branded endplates so that you, our Members and resort partners, have the option to customize them with your own personalized call-to-action.

For additional resources to help with your recruitment efforts, or to provide support for new employees, visit our Workforce Hub Page.

Share the video throughout your social channels!
