Resources to Support Whistler’s Businesses
Whistler is an inclusive and welcoming community, attracting guests from all over the world to enjoy adventure, nature and our vibrant mountain culture. We value our strong relationships with our U.S neighbours, who are our friends, business partners, guests and often family. We understand that recent policy changes have created some uncertainty, especially around supply chains. Based on member feedback, this page is intended to provide a central location of information – intentionally focused on government resources – so that you can stay informed.

On July 20, 2026, the U.S. administration signed proclamations imposing new 50 per cent tariffs on a range of Canadian goods, including dairy, wine and whisky, cement, candles, plastics, and furniture, set to take effect August 19. Three days later, on July 23, Washington announced further tariffs tied to forced-labour practices, applying to Canada alongside roughly 60 other economies.
