Whether launching a brand-new venture, unveiling a fresh renovation, or introducing a rebrand, this service provides a meaningful and memorable way to mark the occasion. From coordinating the event details to promoting your business within the community, we help create a polished, professional experience that draws attention, builds connections, and sets the stage for continued success.

Your Investment: $295 + GST

Preparation:

We’ll work with you ahead of time to make sure everything runs smoothly and captures your brand at its best:

  • Pre-event site visit to plan timing, setup, and visuals
  • Guidance on what to highlight (and avoid) in photos and video
  • Run-through of the ceremony format, so everyone feels confident
  • Coordination on social handles, brand requirements, and participants (we recommend involving as much of your team as possible!)

Event day:

We take care of the details so you can focus on the moment:

  • Two Chamber team members onsite to manage and support the ceremony
  • Giant scissors, red, gold, or lime green ribbon, and ‘grand opening’ banners provided
  • Photo and video content captured throughout (yes, we’ll make it look good)
  • We’re happy to join photos/videos, or stay behind the scenes, your call!

Ceremony Promotion:

We make sure your opening gets seen:

  • Event listing on the Whistler Chamber online calendar
  • Social media reel shared post-event (with your business tagged as a collaborator)
  • Feature in our Member Spotlight newsletter section (timing aligned with your opening)
  • Full Dropbox of photos and video content for your own use

Added value (included in the cost)

($235 value – to be used within 6 months of opening date):

Ribbon Cutting Terms & Conditions

  • The Chamber team will endeavour to attend the official opening, but our work hours and event schedule may not always align with the opening. In these cases, we will work together to arrange another time to do a ribbon cutting and take social content, and can share or combine any images you take from the event in our usual promotions
  • Chamber team will typically be on site or 20-30 minutes (not necessarily the entire opening event)
  • We require a minimum of two weeks’ notice prior to an official event date. The Chamber cannot guarantee availability for rescheduled dates on short notice.
  • Host is responsible for any food, drinks, and giveaways
  • Host to organize their own event insurance if necessary
  • Member must be opening the business, or opening a new location, or major renovation, or rebranding, to qualify (no existing businesses)
  • The Chamber Member must have paid their Membership fees and be in good standing with the Chamber
  • Whistler area businesses only. 
  • By participating, businesses grant the Chamber permission to capture and use photo/video content for promotional purposes across digital and print channels. Businesses will receive access to this content for their own use.
  • In the case of weather or unforeseen circumstances, the Chamber reserves the right to reschedule the ribbon cutting in coordination with the business.
