I have always been a strong supporter of the Whistler Chamber of Commerce’s role in the Community. It represents the business community’s interest towards the Resort Municipality of Whistler. The Chamber’s function is the internal marketing body of the community; -The Spirit Program – the various learning seminars, the liaison with the businesses and employees in the Resort and the neighboring communities.
After the Winter Olympic Games are over, Whistler businesses need strong leadership - other parties have made many of the business decisions during the last two years (e.g. VANOC, the commitment by the Resort Municipality of Whistler towards the games, some outside businesses not usually involved in the normal activities of the Community).

Having been closely involved at several Olympic Games during the last 30 years, I have gained some experience as to the important roles the Chamber of Commerce plays, to assist their members and its management to find new and novel ideas to augment the Games legacies.

I am willing to assist the Chamber Board members and the management to strengthen the role of the Chamber and its activities.
