Creating Connections through Chamber Membership

February 28, 2022

Any savvy business owner knows that the importance of networking and creating connections cannot be overstated. Aside from presenting a possibility for new business, new connections can also be a source of advice for overcoming challenges and can open doors to explore new opportunities. In Whistler, local business leaders know that getting together and making new connections is a ton of fun!

For these reasons, the Whistler Chamber is very cognizant of our role in bringing the Whistler business community together. Through our numerous events & training programs, the goal of bringing every corner of the community together is at the forefront of our minds when planning and hosting. We’re proud to have a tremendous membership base made up of outstanding community leaders representing a wide range of industries.

Whistler’s business community can best be described as cohesive, inviting, and supportive. There’s a sense of comradery in knowing that we as a resort town face challenges that are very unique. Our business leaders are some of the kindest, most diverse people you’ll meet, and all share the Whistler stoke!

With the recent government announcement easing restrictions in BC, the Chamber team is thrilled to proceed with our exciting lineup of events! In the process, our Members have a great opportunity to finally re-connect in-person! Here’s a look at just a few upcoming Chamber events that will keep your connections growing!

Chamber Après Networking Series – March 10, 2022

We would like to invite you to attend our upcoming installment in the Chamber Après Networking Series! The evening of March 10th will see the Whistler business community descend upon The Milestones Grill & Bar in the Upper Village for food and conversation.

Advocacy in Action: Business Support Roundtable – March 15, 2022

Another great way to make connections with other Chamber Members is to attend our monthly Advocacy in Action roundtable discussions. These small group meetings help the Chamber team understand the needs and developing concerns of Whistler’s business community, which in turn allows us to better support you with the right resources at the right time. The next meeting will be held virtually on March 15th.

Whistler Business Golf Challenge – May 18, 2022

Taking place every spring, the Chamber’s annual Whistler Business Golf Challenge is a great way to spend a day outdoors with other Members of the community. Join us May 18th! Keep an eye out on our newsletter and social media feeds for the event listing, which will open soon. In the meantime, conisder participating as a featured event sponsor.

Connecting with the local business community is one of the best opportunities the Chamber can afford you as a Member. Make an effort to get involved and meet other leaders in Whistler by showing up and mingling. We guarantee you won’t regret it!
